Retail Pet Shop

Working at your local pet shop is the dream of many animal lovers. Knowing about fish and having experience cleaning your own aquarium are excellent qualities for this line of work. If you do not want to perform customer service duties their may be jobs for fish tank cleaners during or after normal hours.

Marine Biology

If you are looking for a long term career working with fish then marine biology may be a worthwhile goal. Such scientists gain their qualifications through university study. Successful marine biologists may find themselves working in or performing research with the the world's largest public aquariums. Others may choose to work in the field where swimming with fish is part of an average day's work.

Customs & Quarantine Worker

Inspecting incoming fish for illegal species and disease is the responsibility of quarantine Inspection. These positions require candidates to be willing to take on the responsibilities of protecting local fish from sickness and competitive species. A good memory for different fish and an eye for disease symptoms will be favored assets for such positions.
