Pennywart Plant
Hydrocotyle Leucocephala
Pennywart, or water ivy is a nutrient loving stem plant that is happy in most aquariums. Although it grows roots it does not actually need to be buried in gravel. It will make do with lower lighting and tolerate bright illumination also. Pennywart likes mid range hardness but will tolerate harder or softer water. When adequate nutrients are present and the other requirements are met Hydrocotyle leucocephala grows quite rapidly.
