Corkscrew Val
Corkscrew val (Vallisneria spiralis) differs from common val varieties in the way it's leaves grow in a spiral toward the top of the water. This spiral growth has made it an aquarium favourite. It grows tall but it's ribbon like leaf will not obscure your view if grown in the aquarium foreground.
The corkscrew val plant tends to be lighter with slightly broader leaves than common Val. They both have Medium light requirements and tolerate plain gravel or sand. They are propagated by runner producing new plants next to the mother plant.
