Blyxa is a stemmed plant that originates in Japan. It is not always stocked by local fish shops making is unusual to most fish keepers. It requires medium to strong light and a pH on the acidic side. Using a method of carbon dioxide enrichment will produce the best growth.
Blyxa grows in clumps with side branches being sent out that can be trimmed and planted for propogation. It is best used as a background plant.
