Aponogeton Plant
Aponogeton plants are sold as a bulb from which a beautiful feature plant will grow. The leaves grow directly from the base or from individual stems. Some are native to Australia such as the aponogeton queenslandicus and aponogeton bullosus.
A polular aquarium variety is the aponogeton crispus which has very attractive rippled leaves that grow below the water surface. For pond there are varieties such as aponogeton distachyos which wil flower through winter.
