Goldfish Flake Food

Goldfish flakes are the perfect food for feeding all sizes of goldfish and other coldwater fish. Such food will initially float then soften and sink if not already eaten. Goldfish don't know when to stop feeding so only feed them as much as they can consume in 5 minutes.

Quality goldfish food will not cloud the aquarium water when fish are not overfed.

Fresh goldfish flake should be kept in best condition by always replacing the lid after feed time. When buying larger quantities seperate it into smaller portions and store the flakes in large snap seal bags with the air squeezed out. Choose a cool dark place and avoid crushing the bags. By doing so a bulk quantity of goldfish flake can be used over the course of a year without any noticeable deterioration.

Goldfish eat a lot of algae as part of their wild diet and this should be reflected in the food's ingredients. Expect to see spirulina algae as one of the ingredients in a better quality goldfish flake.
