Betta Fish Food


betta fishSiamese fighting fish have a diet of insects and insect larvae in the wild. Captive beta fish should be fed a variety of fresh and dried foods. Give them live blackworms and frozen bloodworms along with a dry pellet formulated just for Siamese fighting fish. Such pellets are high in protein and small enough to be eaten by betta fish.

Be mindful of the amount fed. Any uneaten betta food can spoil the water in a small container quickly. Feed a mouthful at a time so there is no waste. It is better to spread the food over a number of smaller feedings rather than offer a large amount of food all at once.
