Aquarium Canister Filters
A canister filter uses less space inside the fish tank while being easily cleaned and maintained. You'll be able to keep more fish in the same aquarium while causing less fuss during filter maintenance. When maintenance is necessary the filter can be easily accessed without disturbing your fish. The other advantage of these canister filters is their large volume which requires less regular maintenance because it is not clogged as quickly.
An aquarium canister filter is best housed underneath the tank in the cabinet or beneath the stand. Fish tank cabinets are usually pre made with holes where the filters hoses can exit and enter the storage space. Here the filter will be kept out of the way while any noise can be dampened by the furniture housing it.

This external canister filter is available in models that process either 1800 or 1200 liters of water per hour. These filtration units are useful for large or very large aquariums. All filter hose, rigid pipe, connector elbows, and spray bars are included.
The high performance pump is completely submersible. It sits flush inside the canister above the filter media. The filter's motor unit is completely sealed and requires no maintenance or oiling.
This canister filter includes a patented air ejector system. To release accumulated air in the unit push down the air valve. Non-corrosive clips hold the motor unit tightly to the filter case.
The interlocking modules allow for partial or full filter media changes. The large filter media volume produces superb water purification. The three modules allow for three varieties of filter media. Ships pre packed with a sponge layer, course fibre layer and ceramic rings. The filter media removes particles and acts as a site for biological filtration.
The filter canister filter measures 34 cm in height. It measures 23 cm wide at the top. It runs on 30W of power. Ships boxed ready to plug in and use after water intake and return assemblage. The main casing is created from green tinted clear plastic.
The canister filtration method has several phases. The water intake system siphons away debris from the aquarium floor. Siphoned water accumulates in the filter's water collecting area. From the collection area the water feeds down onto the spread plate.
From here the water is pumped upward through the three media modules of the canister filter. Water returns to the surface of the aquarium via the rain bar which thoroughly agitates the liquid to replace oxygen. If you would prefer to cause more turbulence then the spray bar can be removed to let the water return as a jet.
