Melafix Antibacterial
Melafix is an antibacterial remedy in a liquid form. Based on natural ingredients, it uses cajeput oil at the rate of 9.23 grams per liter.
Melafix is used at the dosage rate of 5ml per 40 liters of aquarium water. After 7 days this dosage is repeated. This antibiotic can be used in both freshwater and saltwater aquariums without altering the pH or damaging aquatic plants. It does not alter the color of the water and is milder on your biological filtration than some other preparations.
Melafix has been used with success in the treatment of fin rot and cotton wool mouth and also as a preventative measure when adding new fish.
