Tall Growing Aquatics

These aquatic species are good choices for the background of a planted aquarium. They have the potential to grow tall given good growth conditions. Tall growing plants generally appreciate a lot of light though there are exceptions.

Most background aquarium plants are stem plants which can be easily reproduced by planting a cutting in the substrate.

Foreground Plants
Lower profiled plants for the front of the fish tank. Short grass like plants are very popular.

Aquarium plants produce this gas but also need small quantities for respiration.
